Budgeting & Operating Expenses

Our event rentals cover the cost of the Abbey building so we are able to put all of your donations towards educational arts & culture/community programs. Our total budget for 2009 was approximately $117,000. All contributions are tax deductible to the fullest extend of the law. Giving receipts will be mailed to all donors upon request.

If you’d like to receive a financial report, feel free to email us. If you’d like to designate your gift to "Scholarships" or "Youth Programs", we can certainly take care of that as well.
Check us out on [Guidestar]

NOTE:
If curious why we aren't listed on Charity Navigator, it's because we are way below their $500,000 minimum donation level. You can request that they evaluate us or change that policy though!

WHY
Well, we (and recent brain studies) show that the arts can be the one of the best ways for people of all ages to develop, advance, and improve their quality of life, especially when multiple art forms & artists collaborate together.  This can be through an educational & interactive experience such as a class or lesson or by viewing a stellar performance.  Young minds need these experiences to develop and while mature minds need these experiences to stay fresh and diversify!
We also know that studies show "giving individuals repeated rewarding experiences with the arts over time is a necessary first step before other, more public benefits of the arts can be realized.  These other benefits include: exposure to new perspectives; sharpened learning skills among young people; expanded capacity for empathy; and stronger social bonds in communities
